Cia Ballet Paraisópolis opens the series, establishing its first study through an intimate photographic record of the company, its dancers and the collective rituals that exist around the stage.

The photographic study focuses on the space between discipline and intimacy, looking at ballet not only as performance, but as a collective practice shaped by the people who inhabit it.

Moving between dressing rooms, wings and stage, the work observes the small gestures and rituals through which technique, care and shared experience coexist. throughout these moments, the dancers remain at the center of the narrative, from doing their own makeup in the dressing rooms to stepping onto the stage to perform their variations, revealing the autonomy and presence that extend across every dimension of their practice.

At Cia Ballet Paraisópolis, this takes on a particular meaning: individual stories meet within a community built around dance, where knowledge is continuously exchanged and absorbed.

The photographs seek to capture this intersection, exploring the body as a living archive of technique, relationships and experience, and the ways these layers are ultimately transformed into movement.
